# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until translucent.
03 - Add sliced mushrooms, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are golden and most of the moisture has evaporated. Remove from heat.
04 - Place baguette halves, cut side facing up, on the lined baking sheet. Evenly spread the mushroom-onion mixture over each piece.
05 - Top each baguette half generously with grated cheese.
06 - Transfer to the preheated oven. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and the bread is crisp.
07 - Remove from oven. Drizzle with ketchup and sprinkle with chopped chives or parsley if desired. Serve hot.
