A rich and nutty twist on classic iced coffee, blending smooth tahini with cold brew and a touch of sweetness for a creamy, refreshing drink.

I first tried tahini in coffee during a trip to a local cafe. The blend was surprisingly decadent and quickly became a summer favorite in our home.

Ingredients

  • Coffee: 1 ½ cups (360 ml) cold brew coffee or strong chilled coffee
  • Tahini Blend: 3 tablespoons tahini (well-stirred), 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste), ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract, Pinch of sea salt
  • Milk & Ice: ½ cup (120 ml) plant-based milk (e.g. almond, oat, or soy), 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

Whisk Tahini Blend:
In a small bowl or pitcher, whisk together tahini, maple syrup (or honey), vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth and fully combined.
Prepare Glasses:
Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes.
Add Coffee:
Divide the cold brew coffee evenly between the glasses.
Add Tahini Blend:
Add the tahini mixture to each glass and stir well to combine.
Milk and Finish:
Top with plant-based milk and gently stir for a creamy finish.
Adjust Sweetness:
Taste and adjust sweetness if desired. Serve immediately.
